Message from the Board of Directors
On behalf of the Heiltsuk Integrated Resource Management Department (HIRMD) Board of Directors, we would like to thank all of our past and present HIRMD staff for their commitment, dedication and hard work that has gone into making the HIRMD a successful operation since its inception in 2010.
We would also like to re-affirm the mandate of the HIRMD to work underneath the Heiltsuk Tribal Council, Yím̀ás Council (Heiltsuk Hereditary Chiefs) & Ḿṇúyaqs Council, and on behalf of the Heiltsuk people, to ensure that all stewardship work in Heiltsuk Territory is conducted in a professional and transparent manner.
We would like to acknowledge the stewardship values that have been passed down to us through the generations by our ancestors, and we vow to continue to embed these values in all of our work on behalf of the Heiltsuk Nation.
We look forward to continuing to work on behalf of our great Nation into the future.
