Haíɫzaqv descendants of the five tribes are the owners of the cultural heritage based on their ɫáxvái of their Núyṃ́s within the territory. They have a deep sacred relationship with tangible and intangible things in their lives. They are managed by the Culture and Heritage/Archaeology Department who are responsible for the governance through the Q̓áikasas Ǧvíḷás, their Constitution 2025, which is now in Force and Effect and the Heiltsuk Land Use Plan 2005.
